Dawlish: A perfect seaside location

While young people may favour places in the UK where they can enjoy
a vibrant and lively nightlife and the opportunity to indulge in
some retail therapy, there are also many older people, perhaps
pensioners, who still see the opportunity of moving to the coast
and one of England's many seaside resorts as a great way to spend
their latter years.
The perfect location for this can be found in the picturesque coast
of Devon, and by people looking for
property for sale in Dawlish. Dawlish itself is a former small
fishing port on the coast, which later developed into a popular
seaside town, with many holidaymakers descending on it every year
in order to take in some British summer sun. Due to its tourist
history, the location has only 12,000 or so residents. This makes
it ideal for people who want a peaceful coastal retreat to which
they can retire.
One of the most positive aspects of Dawlish is that it offers some
excellent transport links to other places around England. Because
of the fact that it is a seaside town, the local train station,
located in the centre of the town, offers some great links to
places all through Devon, as well as trains to London, meaning that
older residents who are looking for the chance to take a day away
from Dawlish to indulge in shopping or sightseeing need not feel
isolated.
Because of its location, the town was also popular with many famous
faces in the past. Authors Charles Dickens and Jane Austen are both
known to have enjoyed trips to Dawlish, and these visits can be
read about, as well as many other important moments from the Devon
town's history, by those who take time to visit the local museum
and other sites of culture.
